Tackling Oily Skin



Oily skin usually requires its own range of products, so switching to a skin care routine that suits your own skin is key. Here are several products that I recommend!


Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer: Search for products with sulfur, salicylic acid or tee tree oil( all of these dissolve excess sebum). After the cleansing, use a mild, alcohol free toner, as it removes all impurities. Finish the routine with a good moisturizer of your choice!

Exfoliate Once a Week : Exfoliating is vital to prevent pores from clogging, as people with oily skin usually face this issue the most. Whichever scrub you use, just make sure to be gentle!

Apply a Facial Mask Once a Week : Using a deep cleansing mask containing clay can be of great help. Try to search for masks that contain other ingredients such as honey, Shea butter, and etc. These ingredients soothe the skin and prevent them from drying out.


Additional tips: When applying makeup, begin with an oil-controlling primer or base. This will absorb all the excess oil produced through the day. If your face often starts looking greasy later on in the day, then oil-control paper is your best friend.
