Boredom



What is boredom?

Boredom is defined as the state of feeling disinterested in your surroundings. It can occur when there's nothing to do or nothing interesting to do. People battle boredom pretty often in their lifetime. However, with the onset of new technologies and social media, being bored can be remedied through the App Store. Boredom doesn't only apply to having nothing to do. You can become bored when you are actively doing something. For example, you can become disinterested in a movie you are currently watching. You can also become disinterested in a conversation you are an active participant in. It is normal to become bored, but continuous boredom may be a sign of a deeper issue. People who are constantly disinterested in life are more susceptible to conditions like ADHD and depression.


How to remedy boredom

Try to find something new to do. If you are feeling bored, chances are it is because the activities you partake in have become repetitive and therefore uninteresting. Find or makeup something interesting to you. You could also find something challenging to do like chess or checkers. You could play a difficult game of Just Dance, or you could challenge yourself to read through the Harry Potter series. There are lots of things to do, even If it seems like there aren't. All you have to do is use your imagination.
